At the end of September 2018 after almost 20 years in charge, 66-year-old Ebbe Malte Iversen resigned from the position as general manager assigning the responsibility to 47-year-old Jesper Kristian Jacobsen. Under Ebbe Malte Iversen’s leadership, Aarsleff developed into one of Denmark’s largest contracting companies. The annual revenue went from DKK 2 billion to more than DKK 12 billion, and the number of employees increased from 2,000 to 6,500.
Jesper Kristian Jacobsen, who is only the fourth general manager in Aarsleff’s history, was employed in 1995, and since 2016 he has been a member of the executive management. Through most of his career, Jesper Kristian Jacobsen has been in charge of the construction activities in the western part of Denmark and responsible for a number of the Group’s large, international contracts concerning execution of offshore wind farms. In the years leading up to the appointment, Jesper Kristian Jacobsen was deputy general manager and responsible for organising Aarsleff’s building activities in the western part of Denmark.
